Grant Elder is an associate attorney at Scheer.Law’s Portland office. Grant’s civil litigation practice focuses on defending businesses and individuals against a variety of personal injury, products liability, construction defect, and property damage claims. Before joining Scheer.Law, Grant worked as an associate attorney for a general practice law firm in Southern Oregon where he represented individuals and businesses in breach of contract, construction defect, and property damage claims. Grant is a member of the Oregon State Bar and serves as Co-chair for the Continuing Legal Education Subcommittee of the Oregon New Lawyers Division.
Grant earned his undergraduate degree in 2014 from Louisiana State University. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate degree as well as a Certificate in Environmental and Sustainable Natural Resources Law from Willamette University College of Law in 2018. While studying at Willamette, Grant clerked in the Civil Litigation Section of the Oregon Department of Justice as well as an insurance defense law firm in Salem, Oregon. Grant also served as Editor-In-Chief of the Willamette Environmental Law Journal, Editor of the U.S. Supreme Court Service for Willamette Law Online, and Source & Cite Editor for the Willamette Law Review. When he is not diligently advocating for his clients, Grant enjoys exploring Oregon’s beautiful outdoors. Grant is also an avid soccer player and diehard New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan. New to Portland, Grant is always interested in adventuring and learning more about the Portland area.
