Associate Attorney
Whittington Kinley is an associate attorney with Scheer.Law PLLC's Seattle office. He is licensed to practice law in Washington and Utah.
Whittington's career path began with a Bachelor of Music Business and a minor in Computer Science from Belmont University in 2016, where his work in the music industry first sparked his interest in law. Building on this foundation, Whittington pursued his Juris Doctor and MBA concurrently at the University of Utah, graduating cum laude in 2023 with an Intellectual Property Specialization Certificate. During law school, he served as Executive Citation Editor for the Utah Law Review and authored scholarly work on trademark law in the entertainment industry, API copyright protection in international markets, and antitrust issues in vertical mergers. He subsequently completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Western Governors University to further strengthen his technical credentials.
Whittington's unique combination of business, technical, and legal training provides him with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that he brings to complex litigation matters.
Outside of work, Whittington enjoys competitive Super Smash Bros, snowboarding, international travel, and experimenting with vegetarian cooking. He is also an avid fan of metal music.
